Haymarket Day Feels Sweet Like Summertime

The 2014 Haymarket Day street fair and parade brought local residents together for a morning of music, dancing, eating hot dogs and browsing vendor stalls. The annual event took over Washington Street in the downtown area and featured the Battlefield High School Marching Band, local dance groups, preschools, fitness centers and much more. There was even a lemonade stand — for charity — operated by local children. with families thinking about school, sports and fall weather, the day brought back a distinctly summer feel to the weekend.  Check out the gallery thumbnails, below, and stay tuned for more.
