Around the World Embassy Tour

Journey around the world in one day! As part of Passport DC’s month long celebration of DC’s international diplomatic community, participating embassies will open their doors. Experience the culture of each embassy’s country through food, art, and music. To enhance your experience, route your journey in advance and be sure to bring photo ID.

  • What: World Embassy Tour
  • Who: Anyone wanting to experience various cultures
  • Where: Various embassy locations throughout DC
  • When: Saturday, May 5th from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm
  • Cost: Free admission (but plan for parking or Metrorail)

The following embassies participated in 2017:

Afghanistan, African Union, Albania, Angola, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Botswana, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Gabonese Republic, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Malawi, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Nepal, Nicaragua, Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (Oman), Pakistan, Peru, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, Uganda, Uruguay, Zimbabwe
