Battlefield Bombs Annandale, Sets Sights on Round Two

There’s a definite chill in the air, which means one thing to Battlefield High School football fans and students: playoff time. And with a rousing 49-20 win over the Annandale Comets during last Friday’s first round, the Bobcats look ready to continue the season’s momentum deep into the playoffs. From 8-4 in 2012 to 6-5 last season, this year’s 11-1 record is stoking memories of their 2010 Championship season.

Time and the next round’s opponent will tell, of course. But this much is sure: their high-powered offense will likely score early and often. Will this Friday’s opponent, South County, keep pace during a home game in Haymarket?
