Live American Idol Auditions September 4th in D.C.

Yes. I’m one of those parents who KNOWS that their child is gifted with golden pipes that must be shared with the world. And at the same time, have been reserved because traveling that path is life altering, regardless of the outcome. So, since the age of four, she has dabbled here and there with dance, singing, and acting lessons while we look for a sign that this is truly something she has a passion for.

And then it happened. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a story posted about American Idol auditions in Washington D.C. The blood drained from my face. This could be it! This could be her big opportunity to sing to the world, or at the very least see what a big time production looks like from this angle. Immediately, I sought out registration information. Only to find… Whoa Nelly! What’s this? You have to be at least F-I-F-T-E-E-N! There is was, jumping out of the terms and conditions in a fuzzy blackish gray. It was a sign from the big lady upstairs that my child was not ready to be released upon the world yet.

But that doesn’t mean that your baby’s opportunity hasn’t arrived (that is, if they’re between 15 and 28 years of age). So what are you waiting for? The big day is tomorrow, but you’ll need to register TODAY!

As for us, we’ll be waiting for a few more years and then we’ll submit her Online Audition.
