Zandra’s Comes to Haymarket

The Wait Will Soon Be Over – Zandra’s Comes to Haymarket

Today, I ate the most amazing taco to ever cross my lips. And considering that I hail from close proximity to the Mexican border, that’s saying something. Or maybe it was having to wait a really looooong time for this taco.  If you dance in the QBE building (Jazzercise or DeGrasse) you know what I’m talking about. We’ve been walking by this suite for many moons, excited to have a new business that expands our food and social options in town. Whatever the reason, it was a beautiful experience being introduced to this taco, this soft folded flour tortilla containing cubes of perfectly seared tuna – pink in the middle, kinda juicy. Perfection. The sauce that came on the taco looked kind of like Yum-Yum sauce, but was perfectly balanced between spicy and sweet. Just enough kick to make my mouth experience a happy dance without triggering an uncomfortable reaction. Ohhhh, man!

Zandra’s Opens for Business on February 13th

Not long to go now. Your shot at taco awesomeness in Haymarket begins exactly at 11:00 am on February 13th. Doors will be open Monday – Friday 11:00 am – 9:30 pm and on weekends they open at 10:00. Can you say BRUNCH? Because weekend brunches will be in the mix beginning February 17th.

Now that Cookies and Cream and Zandra’s are neighbors, you could pop over for desert to cool those spiced up taste buds. Ummm I can just taste the hint of spicy habanero with my coffee ice cream. And since you all know where Cookies and Cream is, you’ll have no trouble finding Zandra’s. Located inside the old PACE West Building at 14600 Washington Street in Haymarket, Zandra’s is in great company with a variety of other new businesses.

Zandra’s also has locations in Manassas and Fairfax. Check out their site to view menu and locations. Now, go get that taco!
